I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure all of us have a lot to be grateful for, even as we face the challenges of life in a weakened economy. One thing you should know is that admission to the Banneker/Douglass is free, so kept that in mind when planning family activities. And, if you like to be charitable but just can't afford a cash donation to your favorite cause, please know that the greatest gift you can give is your time. Any organization would be thrilled to have a staff of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, and the Sylvia Gaither Garrison Library is no exception. Dr. Jones is eager to put you to work, so if you have a few hours, or if you have more than a few hours, please contact her.
